Ann-Laura Parks @SouthArts
Ann-Laura Parks, CFRE, joined South Arts as the development and communications director
in September 2007. Her unique skill set -- including writing, graphic design, and technology –
has played a major role in her success in fundraising and communications. Ann-Laura graduated
cum laude with a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and then worked as a
freelance commercial artist for several years. Her cover illustration for “Georgia Voices: Vol. 1”
was recognized in the 1994 PRINT Regional Annual.
In 1995, a career-shift brought her to the nonprofit and arts administration world. Over the next
12 years she served as the visual arts coordinator at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center, special
projects coordinator at the Steffen Thomas Museum & Archives, and director of foundation
relations and marketing at the Center for the Visually Impaired in Atlanta. A member of the
Association for Fundraising Professionals, Ann-Laura has been a certified fundraising executive
through CFRE International since 2006. Publications include “Management File: Managing
Vendor Relationships,“ Advancing Philanthropy, 2006.
